Opal Lavon Hastings, 82, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 26 at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Mathew Hastings; two sons, Carl Edward Hastings of Wister and Earl Mathew Hastings of Springdale; one daughter, Opal Jane Merz of Broken Bow, OK; three sisters, Billie Sweeten, Agnes Knapp and Linda Paz; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin Rice, Jackie Jones and Bud Jones and two sisters, Barbara King and Mary Croomer.
