Gary John Embrett

Gary John Embrett, age 67 of Halifax, passed away on November 25, 2013. Born in the North end of Halifax on August 31, 1946, he was the son of the late Evon and Victor Embrett. He moved to Cape Breton Island to raise a family and worked for CBC as a camera man. Gary returned to Halifax later in his career and retired after 30+ years with CBC. Gary was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed greatly by the many people who loved him.

He is survived by daughter, Ryan Embrett; sons, Mark and Mathew Embrett; two grandchildren - Raine and Lucas; sister, Gail Banfield; brother Max Embrett and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Victor, Bill and Carl Embrett.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29 from 11:30 am – 1 pm in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531).
