David E. Gardner, 81, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, December 28 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his son, David K. Gardner; brother Maurice Gardner and sister, Marcella Gardner Moran. David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Georgia; son, Kelly Gardner; daughters, Kimberly Winters, Karen (Ben) Horton and Kathy (Jim) Wyenandt; brothers, Doug Gardner, R.C. Gardner, Jim Gardner, Darrell (Susan) Jaggers, Harold (Cathy) Jaggers and Michael Jaggers; sisters, Elizabeth Craig and Londa Crenshaw; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and Indiana University Basketball. David was an avid bowler and a loving husband, father and grandfather. The family will receive friends at the Ivey Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd, Hamilton, from 11am until 2 pm on Thursday, December 31 with funeral services commencing at 2 pm. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton.
