Herbert "Herb" Gawolek

He was born on August 9, 1934 in California to the late Bernard Gawolek and Johanna Ubbing. Herb attended Elder High School and graduated in 1953. He married Gloria Remley in Fairfield, OH. Herb worked at General Electric for 35 years, before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and traveling. He is survived by daughters, Lynda (Brian) Clark and Vicki Gawolek, grandchildren, Danny Cook, Jack Clark, Abby Clark, Rachel Clark, Nicholas Gawolek, and Ashley Remley, nieces & nephews, and sister, Katie (Jim) Brausch. Herb was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Gawolek (2015), and daughter, Debbie Gawolek (2018). A celebration of his life will be held in the summer of 2020 (exact date & details TBD). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of Hamilton, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263.
