HOGAN, Karen R. Age 69 of Hamilton, passed away at Berkeley Square on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. She was born in Hamilton on June 6, 1944 to Herbert and Ruth (Wilson) Cox. Karen was employed as a secretary at Patrick Financial Corporation. She was a 1962 graduate of Garfield High School, and a 1966 graduate of the Christ Hospital School of Nursing. On June 3, 1967 in Hamilton, she married Patrick W. Hogan, and they were happily married for 46 years. Karen was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church and the BPOE #93 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Patrick W. Hogan; daughter, Penny S. Hogan, M.D. (Bill Miller) of Xenia; son, Timothy P. Hogan of Hamilton; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Miller, Gillian Miller, Connor Miller, Meri Miller, and Maggie Miller; brothers-in-law, Mike Hogan, Tim (Jill) Hogan, and Bill (Sally) Hogan; sister-in-law, Peggy (Paul) Jacquemin; and special friends, Charlene Stump, Ginger Ware, the club girls, and the Elks Tuesday card group. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in- law, Terry Hogan. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Harry Davin; his nurse, Bev Meiner, and staff for their care and compassion.
