Carl J. Rhodes

Mr. Rhodes was a veteran. He had worked for Kinney Shoe Factory, Marlett Coach Co., and Rhodes Service Center where he was a mechanic. He was also a general contractor and a truck driver. Carl liked country music, fishing, and hunting and loved his pet, Minnie. He actively participated in drag racing from 1977-1980 and spent many hours over the course of 60 years riding his Harley Davidson – to all his biker friends: RIDE ON.

Surviving are his loving companion of 26 years, Laura Rhodes; children, Carl R. Rhodes (Cork) of Lewistown, Ashlee Rhodes, Karen Rhodes of Gaithersburg, MD, Shawn Bratton of Reedsville, and Mikki Schlagle of Lewistown; grandchildren, Christopher Pham of Lewistown, Nicole Bohn of Reedsville, Emily Pritchard of New York, and William Attinger of Middleburg; siblings, Bob Rhodes and wife, Helen of Gettysburg, Lou Thomas and wife, Karen of Lewistown, Janie Welshans and husband Larry of Lewistown, Connie Rentzel and husband Wayne; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Carlene D. Rhodes; two infant sons; and two siblings, Glenn Richard Rhodes and Patricia Druckemiller.

A service will be held at the convenience of the family.
