

John B. Campbell, 78, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Born November 23, 1939, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Callahan) Campbell.
John was a graduate of Temple University with a BS in Pharmacy, and after a 36-year career he retired in 1996 from CVS Pharmacy where he worked as a District Manager, and prior to that was a pharmacist for both Peoples and Rea & Derick Drugstores. John enjoyed golfing, cards, working on his yard, and travelling – especially to Vegas. He loved spending time with his family, keeping things organized, and treating himself to Reeses Cups. He was an avid Philly sports fan with a special love for basketball where he excelled in his early years, and was also ecstatic to see his Eagles win a Super Bowl.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret (Holben) Campbell; two sons, Jay (Meghan) Campbell, Mark (Louann) Campbell; three grandchildren, Jason (Dena) Campbell, Melanie Campbell, and Logan Campbell; and brother, Thomas (Joann) Campbell. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his daughter, Catherine; and his son, James.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 16, 2018, 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with the Reverend Thomas Rozman officiating. Visitation will start at 9:30AM followed by the service at the church. Burial will be private at a later date.
