John passed away in his home on Tuesday April 22, 2025 with his loving wife, Peggy
Monismith, by his side. John was full of life and enjoyed staying active. He was a
wonderful father, fun grand-pop, loyal brother and a best friend to many. John enjoyed
the game of horseshoes and corn hole. He loved watching all sports and was also an
avid hunter and fisher. He was the epitome of a true, good person. John is survived by
his wife Peggy of 37 years, a son Joe and wife Kristyn, five grandchildren, Maya,
Morgan, Brandon, Trisdyn and Ava, brothers George, Dale and Ron, sisters Gladys,
Doris and Dorthy, his loyal companion Tonka and wonderful friends, especially his best
bud Brad. John has left a hole in the hearts of the people who knew him and he will be
incredibly missed.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world
gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27
