

He was born of Irish Decent on April 25, 1964 in Harrisburg to the late Kenneth W. Duff and Vicki Walsh.
Michael was of the Methodist faith and was currently employed the last Ten years as a cook at Hoss’s Steak & Sea in Enola, PA. He was more than an employee, he was a friend and role model for others Formerly, he was the owner/operator of American Drywall. He was a member of Drywall Union IU PAT #411 District 21 Philadelphia and Loyal Order of the Moose #410 Middletown. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Ranger.
Michael enjoyed fishing with his sons, having a few beers at their family outing's at Lake Wynona where they swam, had cookouts, bon-fires and yearly Forth of July celebrations. He was a selfless man who would help anyone putting their happiness above his own. His true passion in life was when he was creating art by drywall, his greatest work of art was restoring their home which was once own by his Maternal Grand Parents. That is where Mike and JoAnn were truly happy.
He leaves behind his wife, JoAnn (Blass) Duff; 2 sons, Mason J. Owings of Newport and Merrick J. Duff of Palmyra; step-son, Dennis E. Meyer Jr. of Mechanicsburg; step-daughter, Casey L. Meyer of Harrisburg; his mother, Vicki (Sneckenberger) Walsh; brother, Matthew J. Duff of Marysville; 2 sisters, Kelly A. Penny of Auburn and Kerry A. Hall (Brad) of Marion, IN; and 4 step-grandchildren, Melissa N. Meyer, Raven A. Meyer, Dakota J. Meyer, and Madison N. Fazzolari. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews, and one great niece.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109 with Rev. Robert Bishard officiating. Viewing will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the funeral home at the above address to defray expenses would be greatly appreciated.
