

Robert J. Ludwig, 86, of Lititz, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the VA Hospital, Lebanon, PA. He was the loving husband of Virginia (Ranck) Ludwig. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in May.
Born in Middletown, PA, he was the son of the late Russell and Ruth (Shelley) Ludwig. He graduated Lititz High School in 1949. Bob proudly served his country for 4 years in the United States Air Force. He served as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. During his time in the service, he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. After his time in the service, Bob worked at RCA and later Woodstream as a shipping clerk. Bob was a member of Lititz United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 56. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
Bob is also survived by a sister, Carol wife of Roger Groce of Mt. Gretna and a brother, Richard husband of Mary Ludwig of Mountville; four godchildren, Lisa (Shelley) Bowman, Neil Shelley, Jr, and Dina Keller all of Lititz, and Tracey (Keller) Bradley, Garnet Valley, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by siblings Audra Steinman, Kenneth Ludwig, Patricia Hoffer and Thomas Ludwig (Christine).
Services will be graveside at the Lititz Moravian Cemetery on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11am with nephew Gerald Reifsnyder, officiating.
