Nina Ivon Byram Bishop went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2018. She was born on April 14, 1915 in Parks, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings as well as her husband, Walter Sanders Bishop, grandson, Jeffrey Sanders Bishop, and great -grandson, Jacob Emil Walker.
She is survived by her three children Roberta (Royce) Franklin, Sanders (Joann) Bishop, and Joyce (Jerald) Brooks as well as her grandchildren Marcia, Melinda, Regina, Marshall, Morris, Bethany and Lydia. She is also survived by 13 great- grandchildren.
Ivon was a long time member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and a faithful servant of the Lord. Her favorite bible passage was Psalm 23. She could recite this perfectly until May 2018.
Services will be on Friday, July 13th at 11:00 with visitation/reception immediately following the service at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood. Interment will be at 1:30 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover.
