Josefina Juan Baloran, 79, of Honolulu, Hawaii, formerly of Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, died peacefully on January 05, 2021, at Queen’s Hospital in Honolulu. Born June 19, 1941, in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she is predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Ramona Juan, Philippines, and her late husband, Jose Baloran, of Honolulu.
Josefina was a devout Catholic who loved her family. A selfless woman who lived in moderation, but generously gave of what she had. She worked as a seamstress at the 5 Sisters in Laoag City, Philippines before moving to Hawaii.
Josefina - lovingly called “Seping” by her family – married her husband, Jose, and moved to Hawaii in 1991. After arriving in Honolulu, she became a homemaker, calling Hawaii her home ever since.
Survivors include her children, Tessie (Villamor) Pascua of Honolulu, Boy (Daisy) Baloran of Honolulu, Adrian (Heidi) Baloran, Marilyn (Apollo) Argel of Ewa Beach, and Josephine (Matthew) Aczon of Mililani, as well as 21 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren. She has 6 Siblings in the Philippines Feilpa A. Juan, Elsa (Abelarba) Garcia, Shirley (Adriano) Domingo, Ofrencia (Amor), Anthony Jr. (Cristina) Juan, and Asuncion (Menjie) Juan.
A memorial mass will be held at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 10:00 am. Private services and entombment will also be conducted in the Philippines, after her journey home.
