She was also preceded in death by two husbands Henry VanDoorn and Jack Reynnells, four brothers, Alvin Kremhelmer, David Kremhelmer, Donald Kremhelmer, and Louis Kremhelmer.
Dorothy is survived by her beloved son Steve VanDoorn and daughter-in-law Vickie VanDoorn.
After her career as an administrative assistant in Michigan, she retired to Port Charlotte, Florida and her hobbies in retirement included card games especially bridge, bowling, bunca (Japanese style embroidery), reading, and volunteering at the local cultural center (over 7,000 hours). She then moved to Houston in 2016.
The family will receive friends during visitation Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 1:00-5:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
The remaining services will be private per Dorothy Reynnells' wishes.
