Magdalene DeVries, 95, of Houston, TX passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020. Magdalene was born on May 22, 1925 in Munster, Germany to Eleanor Unvericht and Ludwig Sprenger. She married Jan DeVries on May 7, 1945. They moved from Germany to Holland in 1945, where they lived until 1954, when they moved to Spencerport, New York. Magdalene worked as a seamstress and owned her own restaurant in Spencerport. Magdalene and Jan moved to the Houston area in 1991 to retire and be with family. Magdalene was preceded in death by her husband, Jan DeVries, her baby daughter, Monica DeVries, and her son, Hermannus DeVries.
Magdalene leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Monica Pauline Maldonado, her son in law Vilsen Maldonado, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 8 great, great grandchildren.
