Delphine is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Percy. Delphine was predeceased by her parents Theresa and Charlie, brother Dennis and many other family members.
Delphine leaves to cherish her memory her children Rhonda Schaeffer (Jeremy), Tammy Leitner (Dan), Tara (Shawn) Muhr. Mom was born on the Stoudt family homestead by the help of a mid-wife on February 28, 1945. Mom had a love of fishing, but her biggest catch was the love of her life Percy. Mom and Dad were married on October 10, 1966 and made their life on the Leitner family homestead for 55 years. Mom was a very hard worker, her love of cooking, canning, crocheting, driving grain truck, caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and feeding her hummingbirds was very rewarding for her. Mom touched the hearts of many, especially all the little ones who adopted her as their nana. Mom was known for her beautiful flower garden and her large vegetable garden, which she shared with everyone. Mom was known for her baking, especially her famous apple pie.
A special thank you to the staff at the Pasqua Hospital 5D who treated mom and an extra special thank you to the Home Care Teams who came to the farm and treated our mom like their own.
The funeral mass was celebrated on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Vibank, Saskatchewan by Rev. Louis Abello. A reception for family and friends was held in the Vibank Community Hall immediately following the mass. Interment of cremated remains will take place in St. Ignatius parish cemetery at a later date.
