Audie "Mac" Lee McAllister Jr.

Audie Lee McAllister Jr., “Mac”, 74, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2019, in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 12, 1944 to Audie and Dorothy McAllister in Athens, Tennessee.

Audie served his country in the U.S. Army from December 1963 to November 1965. Upon his return to civilian life he became interested in cross country trucking. Mac became a proud member of the Teamsters Local 512 of Jacksonville, FL for 37 ½ years. Mac was a loving and kind man who shared his life with his beloved wife, Linda Faye for 16 years. He is the proud father of son Adam and daughters Katrina and Amy, who made him a proud Papa of 4 grandchildren; Carter, Colton, Jason and Treasure. He is survived by his sister Maebell (Brian); brother-in-law James Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 am, with burial to follow.
