Sarah had a great sense of humor, held a grand presence at parties, and was one to often remind you she was the “good twin.” She was also Alameda’s Miss Congeniality 1974, though she entered that under her sister Susan’s name. Never one to believe you could fool all the people all the time, she knew she could fool half the people some of the time and that was one occasion.
She held a Bachelors in Arts degree in Sociology from Cal State East Bay (formally Hayward State). Sarah was also a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
She loved her dogs, the beach, Beauty in the Beast, and Barbie.
She loved tennis, because she looked good in the outfits; she loved Tahoe to gamble; she loved her Louis Vuitton handbags; her Virginia Slim Ultra Slim cigarettes; and a good Vodka tonic. She lived large because she could. She was a strong woman.
She was preceded in death by her true love Brian B. Schofield.
Sarah is survived by her son, Robert Peter Rapolas, his wife, Katie; four grandchildren, Josie, Simon, Benjamin and Lucy; twin sister, Susan Lack, and her brother, Robert (Bob) Lack.
