Janet E. Willey, 63, Basehor, Kansas passed away March 19, 2018. A celebration of life will be held from 10-11 AM with a memorial service at 11 AM, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Westside Church of Christ, 8740 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Westside Church of Christ.
Janet was born on August 5, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas to Henry and Juanita Bauer. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1972. She was Office Manager for USD 500 Transportation and retired from there after 25 years. She spent some of her working time also at Lakeside Speedway as well as Sandstone Amphitheatre. She was an avid line dancer at MaBelles.
Janet enjoyed spending the majority of her time with her grandchildren, relaxing during retirement and connecting with everyone through FaceBook.
Janet was preceded in passing by her sisters, Robin Chauvin and Diana McAdams; and parents, Hank and Juanita Bauer.
Survivors include three sons, Jeremy (Jessica) Willey, Jason (Melissa) Willey and Joshua Willey; niece, Heather (Jack Bates) Dwyre; grandchildren, Gaige, Montana, Brecken, Ethan, and Ayden; former spouse, Roger Willey; and significant other, Frank Robison; nieces, Rebecca Rinke, Patricia Hernandez, and Elizabeth Pimental; nephew, John McAdams; and a host of many other family and friends.
