Darrell Nixon Glaze

Nick was born in Searcy, Arkansas on August 29, 1949. He graduated from Bald Knob High School and attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

Nick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Glenda Sue Bullock Glaze. Nick is also survived by his brother Roger Glaze (Carol) of San Antonio, Texas; sister Gail “Susie” Glaze Collins (Donald) of Searcy, Arkansas; brother Mike Glaze of Bald Knob, Arkansas; children Darrell “Fuzz” Glaze (Amber) of Bald Knob, Arkansas; Jessica Glaze Feagin (Chris) of Dell, Arkansas; Kyle Smithee (Christie) of Harrisburg, Missouri; Amy Gray (Michael) of Augusta, Arkansas; Lisa Privett of Bald Knob, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Newport, Arkansas. He was a member of the Local 798 Union for 53 years and was a pipeline welding inspector at the time of his death. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church New Life Center at Hwy 167 N, Bald Knob, AR 72010 on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to MD Anderson Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
