A kind, gentle, compassionate, patient, loving Soul . Always a pleasure to be around him. Cathy sure found a jewel when she married Bob. Many fond memories include a week with Bob,Cathy and April at Lake Winnipesaukee.

My favorite memory of Papa Bob was him giving us specials and watching Disney together. I also loved when you lit off fireworks. I love you Papa.

I will always enjoyed Bob's presence and company at the family events we both attended over the years. He and his wife Cathy, my sister, were very special. Cathy and Bob were fortunate to have each other, and to bring into this world a precious daughter, April.

To all of those Bob leaves behind, I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. I hope it is a comfort to know how much Bob loved and supported his family, and cared deeply for all his children and grandchildren.

Love, Ken Eckel

Our sister Cathy made a wonderful decision when she agreed to marry Bob and have him become a terrific member of our family. Bobs easy going and calm demeanor was a nice compliment to the Eckel’s sometimes more excitable nature. Time has flown by so quickly since Cathy first brought Bob to “meet the family” in Haworth and when somehow we managed to “sneak” Bob into a family photo before he was officially a member of the family. But even then it was apparent that the family photo would not be complete without Bob. Cathy chose well when she married Bob. It has been great having Bob as my brother in law. He will be greatly missed

I was lucky enough to meet Bob when I waitressed at Audrey's Cafe. After I left the Cafe I met up with both Bob and Dave Field for breakfast a number of times. I was always surprised after our 3 hour breakfasts that we never got kicked out. I thought he was going to pass out the first time I gave him a hug goodbye lol! I do believe my boyfriend told him to get used to it because he wasn't going to get away without one! After that is was customary. We followed his journey and asked about him often and we are saddened to hear of his passing. His family and friends are richer for having him in their lives. Rest now Bob, as you no longer have to fight.
