On May 21, 2021 Mrs. Jae Suk Sharpe (Shin) passed to be with her husband, William Gary Sharpe. She is survived by her son, William Allen Sharpe, her Daughter in Law, Giselle Sharpe and grandchildren, Alex Sharpe and Mackenzie Sharpe.
Mrs. Sharpe was born in Seoul, Korea on November 28th, 1937 one of seven children during that war torn time. Although only completing middle school due to the war, she was able to read and write in three languages (Korean, Japanese/Chinese and English), maintain daily bookkeeping skills as well as providing for her family as a devoted wife and mother.
She loved to grow miniature roses and maintain her home and garden. In addition, she enjoyed her Korean historical dramas as well as American soap operas of the 70’s and 80’s. One of her greatest joys was cooking for her son and having conversations about life and personal history.
She prayed daily for her family never missing a day. She was fiercely protective of her family and would do anything for them even if it meant sacrificing things for herself.
Mrs. Jae Suk Sharpe will be missed but we believe that she is enjoying her reunion in heaven with her husband, her life’s love.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen at 11 AM with inurnment following at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
