Doug M. Corne

Douglas "Doug" McArthur Corne, age 80, of Corryton, TN went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 8, 2022. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Doug was a devoted husband and father, and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

Preceded in death by loving wife of 52 years, Varnell Corne; mother, Willie Heptinstall; grandparents, Ida and Will Bowman; half sister-in law, Angela Heptinstall and half-brother, Steve Heptinstall.

Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Larry Hembree; son and son-in-law, Dougie and Gil Blais; grandchildren, Abby (Ricky) Starnes, Amanda (Billy) Maples; Brandy (Tina) Teaster; great-grandchildren, Cadence Boyd, Maliki Cloud, Chayce-Lynn Reynolds, Brayce-Lynn Reynolds, Blake-Leigh Reynolds, Liberty (Sam) Johnson, Noah Maples, Keyle Hembree, Autumn, Alyssa, and Madison Starnes; great-great grandchild, Waylon Johnson; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Jane Nelson;

half brothers and sisters-in law, Karen (Chuck) Matlock, Geri (John) Walker, Fred (Kim) Heptinstall, Rex Heptinstall, Charlotte Heptinstall; niece and nephew, Diane and Edward Nelson and special family member, Thomas Foster.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, 2022 between the hours of 5:00pm until 7:00pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville with a service to follow at 7:00pm officiated by Rev. Larry Campbell. Family and friends will meet Friday, May 13, 2022 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701 for a 3:00pm Interment Service.
