Lois Evelyn Heatherly Thurston, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2018 after an extended stay at Shannondale Nursing Home. She will be remembered as a devoted, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Preceded in death by her parents Homer and Ella Davis; husbands, Burness Heatherly and David Thurston; and brother, Wendell Davis. Survived by brother and sister-in-law, C.G. and Faye Davis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sam and Caroline Coley; children, Doug and Donna Heatherly, and Jim Heatherly. grandchildren, Misty and Mike Colwell, Kirsten Heatherly, Michelle Heatherly, Kaitlin Heatherly, and Jimmy Heatherly; great grandchildren, Alanna Heatherly, Paxton Collins Heatherly, Zach and Kaitlyn Colwell and one soon to arrive. Thank you to the staff and faculty of Shannondale for their loving care. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 4th from 2 - 3 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive with the graveside service to begin at 3 pm at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
