William had originally enlisted in the United States Air Force, and then transferred to the United States Army and served in Germany with the Engineer Corps. He had four years of active duty service, and then served with the Army Reserves until 1962.
On January 27, 1951, William was married to the love of his life, Midlred (Foley) in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Mildred preceded William in passing on June 12, 2004. William and Mildred raised their family on Christian values. William spent most of his life on the road as a truck driver. When he was not driving, William enjoyed camping, boating, and taking trips to Arkansas. He was also an avid racing fan.
William is survived by his children, Johnny Seymore, Billy Seymore, and Debi (Chris) Matchett; brother, Harmon Seymore; grandchildren, Johnathan “Jake” Wright, Cheyanna Brown, Travis Bradley, Racquel “Rocky” Miller, and Cody Seymore; and great grandchildren, Taylor, Madyson, Garrison, Noah, and Jocelyn.
In addition to his parents and wife, William was preceded in death by a son, Russell Seymore; daughter, Jo Ann Wright; and several siblings.
There will be a private family service for William at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, and then William will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in William’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, or Riley Hospital for Children.
