Willie Mae Williams

Mrs. Williams was born June 25, 1923 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Lee Allen Smith and Mattie Delaine Daniel Smith. She was a lifelong area resident and was a member of Southwest LaGrange Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams was retired from Callaway Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Williams.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Dr. John B. Marlow, Jr. of Irmo, SC; grandchildren, Dr. Troy (Leslie) Marlow of Charleston, SC, Alison (Rusty) Branham and Steven Marlow, all of Irmo; great-grandchildren, Jon Branham, Katherine Branham, Ian Marlow, and Ben Marlow; a brother, James Smith of LaGrange; two sisters, Mattie Lee Davis of Franklin and Shirley Eurick of Birmingham, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Alan Meacham officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will gather at the funeral home to receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
