Ralph Washburn Jr. 68 of Lansing, Michigan passed away Thursday August 2, 2018. Jr. was born on June 18, 1950 in Howell, Michigan. Jr. touched the lives of many people in his lifetime with his contagious smile and witty sense of humor, he was an avid Michigan State fan. He enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, he especially loved when people would come by that he hadn't seen in a while, his smile would light up the room. Jr. loved looking at pictures of family and friends in his small photo album that he could fit in his pants pocket. He enjoyed connecting straws together, coloring, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and listening to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers. Jr. attended Transitions North, a workshop for adults with disabilities, while there he enjoyed playing bingo and swapping stories with 2 cousins who also attended there.
Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lucile (Davis) Washburn and his brother-in-law, Gene Wegienka. He is survived by one brother, Kenny (Marilee) Farmer; 2 sisters, Ralphelene Kay Wegienka and Bert (Dave) Winters, all of Lansing, 12 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home August 7, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Howell, MI at 3:00 p.m.
