

Gary was born and raised in Vineland, NJ on May 12, 1946 to Albert and Marie Peters-D’Ambrose. He was an only child. He attended Landis Middle School and Vineland High School, where he was voted Student Council President. He was also one of the star baseball players on his little league team. For a brief period he attended Rutgers Business School.
Gary was drafted into the army in 1966. He was stationed near Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked in accounting, eventually reaching the rank of corporal. He was honorably discharged in 1969.
For 40 years Gary was involved in the pharmaceutical glass and plastics industry, during which time he worked at Dougherty Brothers, Owens Illinois, and Comar Inc.
Gary had a variety of hobbies, interests, and passions, including: cooking, fishing, tennis, Phillies baseball, Eagles football, history, and music appreciation.
Gary was known for his display of courage and grace in the face of adversity. He had a natural charisma that endeared him to many.
Gary is predeceased by his father Albert D’Ambrose and his mother Marie Peters-D’Ambrose. He is survived by his wife Maria A. D’Ambrose of Largo FL, two sons: Marcus A. D’Ambrose of Irvington, NJ, Michael V. D’Ambrose of West Palm Beach, FL, and various loving cousins.
Services will be held in the spring at Serenity Gardens in Largo, FL. Details to follow.
