Virginia graduated High School and was the first in her family to graduate college.
Virginia Married and had her first son Johnny Ridling. She later married Charles (Charlie) Ghormley and together they traveled the country for Charlie’s job as a lineman.
During their travels they had Roger Ghormley and 15 months later they had Michael Ghormley.
Charlie got a job at the Test Site and they moved to Indian Springs, NV and that's where Scott Ghormley was born.
Virginia went to work at the Indian Springs post office where she later became Postmaster, eventually they moved to Las Vegas, NV where she commuted to Indian Springs every day for work.
Virginia was a saver and together they saved enough money to build The Hush Puppy Restaurant in Las Vegas, NV in 1975,which is still family owned and operated today. As the years went by they built and opened four more Hush Puppy Restaurants.
Virginia did all of the bookkeeping for all five restaurants, She continued to do so until she was 89 when she retired.
Virginia and Charlie were married for 63 years until Charlie's death in 2016.
She was preceded in death by Parents Arlie Jones and Murl Hendrix Jones, Husband Charles Ghormley, son Roger Ghormley.
Virginia is survived by Son Johnny Ridling of Amity, AR, Son Michael Ghormley of Cave Creek, AZ, Son Scott (Stacy) Ghormley of Las Vegas, NV, Sister Sue Roe of Crosby, TX, Sister Patsy Glass and brother Everett (Lee) Jones of Prescott, AR.
Virginia had seven grandchildren Lanna (Scott) Clark, Matthew Ghormley, Ashley (John) Hutson, Jesse (Missy) Ghormley, James (Laura) Ghormley, Taylor Ghormley (Seth Layman), Hayley Ghormley, and 15 great grandchildren.
