Lee Roy Gilbert

Mr. Lee Roy Gilbert, 72, of Granite Falls, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson.

He was born on March 2, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Clinard Gilbert and Lesie Harris Gilbert. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Gilbert was a wonderful husband and father and had a passion for deer hunting.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Barbara of 51 years; daughters, Kitty Hodges and husband Darrick, and Becky Collins; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mr. Gilbert will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November, 11, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Darrick Lingerfelt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lovelady Baptist Church Cemetery.
