Maxine Livingston Jett

Mrs. Jett was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on February 27, 1928 to the late Virgil Wesley Livingston and Elizabeth Jarvis Livingston. She graduated from Hudson High School in1945. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jett was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Harvey Jett, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; John Jett III and wife Carol of Lenoir, Roger Jett and wife Debbie of Granite Falls, Bruce Jett and wife Jacki of Angier, Scott Jett and wife Lisa of Granite Falls, daughters; Donna Jett Whitson and husband Ted of Greensboro, Pat Jett Thrift of Winston Salem, Meleah Jett Haas and husband Jeff of Lenoir, Marty Jett Anderson and husband Cliff of Lenoir, one sister; Betty Winkler of Marietta, GA; Also left to cherish her memory are her 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Maxine Livingston Jett will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Mt. Grove Church with the Reverend Cliff Black and Reverend Sam Craven Officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Mt. Grove Church Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Brent Whitson, Jared Jett, Ryan Jett, William Haas, Mikeal Anderson and Brandon Jett.
