Paul Edward Goldsberry was born on October 17, 1960 at Fort Riley, Kansas and left to be with the Lord on September 30, 2022. He attended Scott High School in Madison, West Virginia, and West Virginia State College in Institute, West Virginia.
Paul served in the United States Army. Afterward, he moved back to West Virginia where he worked as an equipment operator in the coal mines for twenty years and then retired. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Upon Paul’s retirement, he moved to Lexington, South Carolina to be with his family. He later moved to the Chapin area where he enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Paul loved reading and studying his Bible. He was also very talented and adept in the arts. He enjoyed playing his guitar and sketching pictures. Paul had a heart of gold and would do anything he could to help anyone. He derived great joy by doing for others. His laughter was warm and his smile brightened up any room.
Paul Goldsberry was preceded in death by his father, Robert Goldsberry. He leaves behind his mother, Juanita Goldsberry; three sisters, Drusilla Smith (Jimmie), Shelley Frick (Harlan), and Rina Miller; one brother, David Goldsberry (Amanda); one son, Saul Goldsberry; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment to follow at Woodridge Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be Paul's nephews, Joshua Goldsberry and Jimmie Smith III. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
