LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Sammy Carroll McCarty, 95, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Cherokee Presbyterian Church, 3622 Augusta Hwy., Gilbert, SC 29054. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doctors Hospital of Augusta, Wound Unit, 3651 Wheeler Rd., Augusta, GA 30909.
Mrs. McCarty was born August 29, 1923 in Atlanta, GA, and passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.
She is survived by her sons, Norman McCarty (Nell) and Clint McCarty, both of Lexington; daughters, Dale Litteral (J. C.) of Batesburg and Melodye McCarty of Lexington; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dewitte McCarty; son, Cliff McCarty and daughter, Grace Bradwell.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
