Aline Brower Loman

Aline B. Loman, 96, of Liberty, NC, went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, September 7, 2020, at Universal Healthcare of Ramseur. She was born June 8, 1924 to the late Numa and Zelma Brower of Liberty. She graduated as valedictorian of the Liberty High School Class of 1941. She went to work at Liberty Hosiery Mill after graduation and, except for a few years of keeping children, she worked in the hosiery industry until the Fidelity Bank came to Liberty. She was hired by the Bank and worked there for over twenty-one years. When she retired in December of 1994, she was the last original employee at Fidelity in Liberty. Mrs. Loman was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Siler City where she had taught Sunday School, sung in the choir and had served on the Local Board of Administration.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Loman was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert (Bob) Loman, Jr.; her son, R. Edward (Ed) Loman III; her sisters, Dorothy B. Butler and Hilda B. Jones and brother, H. Calvin Brower.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. Brower and husband, Perry of Siler City; her son, Jeff Loman and wife, Teresa of Wilmington; grandchildren, Stephanie L. Fogleman and husband, Chad of Liberty, Jennifer L. Ernst and husband, Matt of Great Falls, Montana; Spencer Loman and wife, Jordan of Greensboro and Dru Loman of Wilmington; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Harper Fogleman and Caiden and Emersyn Ernst; sisters-in-law, Ann G. Brower of Asheboro and Imogene S. Loman of Charlotte; and, many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Loman will lie in repose at Loflin Funeral Home, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC, from 12 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2020. A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Liberty on Friday, September 11 at 11:00 am with Pastors Jeff and Spencer Loman officiating.

The family would especially like to thank Ella Martin and Sissy Wright, as well as all the other ladies, who served as caregivers in the home. They would also like to thank the staff of Universal HeaIthcare Ramseur, Hospice of Randolph and Theresa Lee, NP, with UH OptumCare, for the excellent care each gave their loved one.

Dear Family, We are so very sorry for the loss of sweet Mrs. Loman. We enjoyed getting to know her and visiting with her these last few years.
