has crossed the finish line and gone to receive his eternal reward -- the Crown of Eternal Life. Cosmo passed away peacefully in his 95th year on May 12, 2018. Beloved husband of 64 years to Dinah. Loving father of Dianne (Peter), Wayne (Sharry), and Lois (Denver). Cherished grandfather to Joshua, Megan, Mason and Olivia. Sadly missed by brother William (Stella) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Andrew, Pearl and brother Kalenick (Jane). Born in Borke, Ukraine, Cosmo emigrated to Canada with his parents and brother settling on a farm in Alberta. With the outbreak of WWII, Cosmo joined the Canadian army, serving in the medical corps, and saw action in Italy, France, Belgium, and Holland. After the war he served with the United Nations in Korea and Japan. Then, with his family, he served two tours of duty in Europe. After returning to Canada, there were many postings across Canada. Upon his retirement from the military, Cosmo had a rewarding second career as a nurses' aid on the surgical floor at University Hospital in London, Ontario. Cosmo had an adventurous, rewarding life sharing the Good News of Salvation with others. The family would like to thank Amica of London and the doctors, nurses and staff at University Hospital, London, Ontario, for their compassionate care of our dad. Visitation will be held at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St) on Sunday May 20, 2018 from Noon - 2 pm where the complete funeral service will he held at 2 pm. Cremation to follow. Donation in memory of Cosmo to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated.
