

She was born Dianne Kaye Schaff on February 17, 1945 in Clark, South Dakota to Alice and Frank Schaff. She graduated from West Lyon High School in Iowa in 1963. After high school she attended Sioux Valley Hospital X-Ray School in 1966 in South Dakota. She moved to Michigan and afterwards moved to California where she soon met her husband, Ronald Edwin Laffitte. They married on September 19, 1969 and had two children together, Erin and Jill. She worked as a Radiographic Technician and retired from Family Medical Clinic (DCOL).
Dianne enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, singing in her church choir in her early years, sewing, and mall walking. She would also volunteer at her church St. Matthews Catholic Church as a greeter, and a Eucharist minister. She would volunteer at the Women's Abuse Shelter, and was also a TOPS Member.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Edwin Laffitte, parents Alice and Frank Schaff, brother Merle Schaff and sister Shirley Fortin.
She is survived by her daughter Erin and husband, Daniel Bregin; daughter, Jill Laffitte; granddaughter, Abagail Laffitte; grandson, Adam Bregin; sister, Vivian Klaschen; brothers, Dale and Darwin Schaff; additional family, Kevin Oliphant; numerous nieces and nephews, special friend, Becky Garnier; and her beloved dog Nevaeh.
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at St. Matthews Catholic Church. A rosary will be held prior to the service at 1:30 PM.
The family would like to give a special thanks to PrimeCare Hospice, Angela Bryant, Morgan Campbell, Tess Baker, and Sharry Stiles for their dedicated care of Dianne.
