Martha Frances Turnbow

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Wolfforth First United Methodist Church.

Martha was born August 27, 1928 in Jayton, TX to Rev. Ollie and Idella Apple. She married Andrew “Buddy” Turnbow on September 6, 1946 in Ropesville, TX. Martha was a farming homemaker, worked as a substitute teacher and sales associate at Dunlap’s and J.C. Penney’s

She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, Sunday School “Game Day”, Texas Tech sports, the NBA and the company of her children and grandchildren. She especially loved attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was a lifelong member of Wolfforth First United Methodist Church.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buddy and a sister Kathryn “Katy” Powers.

Survivors include her daughter Sherry Turnbow of Lubbock, three sons, Carmon of Edinburg, Andy and Shari of Amarillo and Tracy of Lubbock; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, make a donation to the Upper Room Fund at Wolfforth First United Methodist Church.
