Florine Morgan Shores

Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John Walter Shores and Annie Cofflin Shores. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Viola Pillow and three brothers, Milton Shores, Earl Shores and Jesse Shores.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond Shores of Amherst and Jerry Shores and wife Lisa of Forest; seven grandchildren, Chadwick Shores, Daniel Shores, Tayler Johnson (Ricky), Ashley Shores, Ethan Shores (Amanda), Logan Shores (Maggie) and Allison May and four great grandchildren, Daniel Shores, Jr., Avery Johnson, Ivy Shores, Asa Shores and Julia Shores.

Florine was retired from Service Printing and was a longtime member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She was a hard worker all of her life and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow in Meade Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
