Essie Grier Cleveland, 86, passed away Wednesday October, 31, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at Center Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be held at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Dexter A. Jordan officiating. The family will greet friends at Center Hill Baptist Church November 10, 2018 at 10:00 am until service time.
Essie was born in Macon, GA to the late Essy Grier and Gertrude Ester Bryant Grier. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church as well as the Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Cleveland; son, Lamar O. Thomas; daughter, Patricia R. Verdejo; son in law, Jesse Verdejo; four grandchildren, Jaslyn (Clayton) Luce, Jaylene, Jesse, Litecia; and 8 great grandchildren.
