Earline Williams, 81, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Liberty Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born to Ervin Richards and Selena McCoy on March 3, 1935 in Columbus, Mississippi. She relocated to Mansfield where she has lived for the past 50 years. Her family and close friends will remember her as "Bush".
Earline united with New Life Baptist Church seventeen years ago, where she served as a faithful and devoted mother on the church's Mother Board. She retired from Best Western after many years of service. She loved her family and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Loving, kind, compassionate, thoughtful and caring is what describes her best. She enjoyed Bingo and listening to gospel music. Cooking for her family on holidays was also one of her joys in life.
Earline leaves to cherish in her memory seven beloved children; Hugh (Cheryl) Blair of Mansfield, Sarah Mabins of Columbus, Helen Williams, James (Vanessa) Williams, Eddie Williams, Mary Williams and Jerry Williams, all of Mansfield; one sister, Ms. Florence Richards of Columbus, MS; eleven grandchildren; Kim (Ehram) Brooks, Lisa (Eddie) Lane, Leroy (Bobbi) Blair, Kamilah (Miguel) Powers, Melanie (Joseph) Dicks, Jared Mabins, Sonya Williams, Cassandra Williams, Jamie (Christine) Mitchell, Gabrielle Williams and Keenan Williams; twenty-one great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Grover and Willie Richards; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mr. T.C. Williams.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, August 26, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 538 Wayne St., Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
