Elizabeth Mae Secrist

A military wife for 26 years, she received a Chief of Chaplains, USAF Testimonial of Service Award and Tennessee PTA Life Achievement Award. She was a girl scout leader and president/active member of the high school band boosters. She was retired from Shelby County Schools, where she worked at Kirby and Houston High Schools. She was a member of Central Church, Collierville, Tennessee and had lived in Taiwan working with active missionaries. She greatly enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Carl Turner, Lloyd Turner, and Diana Braden.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jerry L. Secrist, I; children, Pamela Charters (Richard), Laura Hawk, Valerie Harris (Mike), Jerry Secrist, II (Dawn), and Mary E. McCollum (Brad); eleven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who all love her very much. She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Daugherty.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Central Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
