Precioso A. Abordo
12 April, 1939 – 14 November, 2019
Precioso A. Abordo, 80, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on 14th November 2019. He was born in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines on 12th April 1939 and was married to Isabella Abordo for 56 years and had three children. Precioso is mostly remembered by his family and friends for his passion in cooking. He often volunteered to cook during family gatherings and made sure that every birthday celebrant had a noodle dish called “pancit” as it represented long life. And of course, it was always his joy to cook for his 3 children and 7 grandchildren to remind them that there is no better food than a home cooked Filipino meal. He loves watching basketball games and often calls his late sister in law, Bienvenida Abordo who recently passed 3 weeks after Precioso’s death. They compared their favorite teams and made bets on who wins the championship games. He also enjoyed going to the casinos playing his favorite game blackjack. Precioso Abordo is survived by his spouse, Isabella; daughter, Nelissa (Mike) Stashko of Chapel Hill, NC and children Jeffrey (Sharon) and granddaughter Sophia (great grandchild) of Gurnee, IL and Nate Tano of Chicago, Illinois; sons Nelson (Junalyn) Abordo of Pingree Grove, IL and children Nicole, Jaena, and Jan Jan; and Dominic (Cecile) Abordo of Lake in the Hills, IL and children Lauren and Jade; nieces Marian and Marissa and her family of Daly City, CA; and sister Lourdes Tucay (Steve) and children Eugene, Erikson and their families, and May of Manila, Philippines. Memorial service will be held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntley, Illinois on 28th December 2019 from 9am to 11am, with a reception to follow at the Abordo’s family home in Pingree Grove, IL.
