Covington, LA, Donald P. Trosclair Sr., age 78, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School in 1958. He was a police officer for many years with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Harahan Police Department, and Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, and a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 59 years, Dianne Cilluffo Trosclair. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Joseph and Anita Marie Trosclair, six brothers and sisters; Gilbert Trosclair, Joseph (J.C.) Trosclair, Rufus Trosclair, Anita McRae, Theresa McRae Ducote, and Florence Slocum. He is survived by his twin brother, Ronald P. Trosclair, Sr., wife Dianne Trosclair, son, Donald P. Trosclair, Jr., daughter, Desiree T. Quirk, 2 granddaughters, Megan Quirk and Gabrielle Trosclair, 3 grandsons, Zachary Quirk, Hillary Quirk, Ashton Trosclair and one great-granddaughter Kate Sims and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at Leitz–Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006 on Friday, June 08, 2018. Visitation for the immediate family will be from 8:30 am until 9:00 am and for the public from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am. He will be buried at Greenwood Cemetery, 5242 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
