Joyce Mitten Dauzat

Joyce Mitten Dauzat, born June 24, 1928, passed away on Friday March 9th, 2018, at age 89, in her Metairie home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved and dedicated wife and friend of 63 years of the late Richard Joseph Dauzat, Sr. Loving mother of Richard Joseph Dauzat, Jr. wife, Diane and Debra Dauzat Bradford, late husband Larry. Proud grandmother of Christine Parks Aucoin, husband Christopher and Andrea Bradford Stiebing, husband Michael. Devoted Great Grandmother “Toonie Maw Maw” of Cailyn, Camryn, Caidy, and Carly Aucoin, and Laney and Peyton Stiebing.

Daughter of the late Hilda B. Mitten and Raymond C. Mitten, Sr., Preceded in death by her sisters Rosemary Bourgeois, Geraldine Engeron, Hilda Manale and brother Raymond C. Mitten, Jr. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Joyce was a homemaker and will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her knack for organizing family gatherings, holidays, and her cooking will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank and express their sincere appreciation for the excellent care given by Ameracare Family Hospice. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial gathering on Saturday morning, March 24, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 6425 W. Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA 70003 beginning at 11:00 AM with Memorial Mass to follow at 11:30 AM. Following the Memorial Mass relatives and friends are invited to Debbie’s house for a luncheon.
