PALLOT, IRENE BLACK of Miami, FL died peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at age 92. She is survived by her husband Peter Pallot; her children Sherry (Mitchell) Horwich of Miami, FL and Mark (Sheila) Black of Roanoke, VA; her grandchildren Jenine (Lenny) Simon, Jackie Horwich, Jason (Amy) Black, and Stacy (Craig) Becher; and her great-grandchildren Ellie, Cassie, Hallie, Tyler, Seth, Sadie, and Landon. Irene was pre-deceased by her first husband George Black of Martinsville, VA. Irene was born on April 10, 1926, in New York City. She was a graduate of CCNY and earned a degree in accounting. She and George married in 1948 and lived most of their married life in Martinsville, VA until George died in a car accident in 1979. She moved to Pompano Beach in 1988 and married Peter in 1990. She and Peter moved to Kendall in 2011. Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and George were active members of Ohev Zion Synagogue in Martinsville. After she married Peter, they enjoyed socializing with their many friends at Palm Aire and traveling to all parts of the world. Irene enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 11:30 am at Mt. Nebo Kendall Chapel in Miami. Shiva will be held at the home of Sherry and Mitchell Horwich Tuesday through Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 7:00 pm.
