David Ray “Dave” Sassenger, 68, of Miamisburg, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 in his home. He was born June 10, 1950 in Odell, Illinois. Dave was a graduate of Bowling Green State University. While there, he was a member of the cross country and track teams. Dave worked in the banking industry for over 40 years and most recently was employed as Vice President of Commercial Banking for Mutual Federal Savings Bank in Sidney. He was a dedicated member and trustee of Grace Baptist Church in Franklin. Most of his free time was spent doing what he loved best, running. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jane (Warmouth) Sassenger; mother, Dorothy (Stufaso) Mulhall; children, Jennifer Hazel (David Michaels), Jason (Tricia) Cowsert, Amber Campbell, Joey (Sarah) Ebright, and Dee (Gary) Hartman; grandchildren, Chris (Alicia), Caitlin, Brandon, Nate, Drew, Madi, Allyson, Zachary, Travis, and Sabella; great grandchildren, Stella and Ruby June. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sassenger and his daughter, Vicky Smith.
