Dorothy Calloway Haughton

Mrs. Dorothy Calloway Haughton, age 95, native of Mobile, AL, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Mrs. Haughton is preceded in death by her husband, W. Elsworth Haughton, parents, Dorothy J. and Howard C. Calloway, sons, Thomas Elsworth “Tommy” Haughton and William “Billy” Baker Haughton and sister, Marian C. Fredrickson. Dorothy was a graduate of Murphy High School and Huffstetler Business College. She was a member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church where she was active in UMW and was a member of the Woman’s Club of Mobile where she played bridge. Mrs. Haughton is survived by her daughter, Marian “Dede” Talley. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Thomas Joshua “TJ” Haughton (Jessie), Andrea Talley Phelps (Robert), Christopher John “Chris” Talley (Michelle), a nephew and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Kathy Jorgensen, Associate Pastor of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mulherin Home or a charity or church of your choice.
