Joyce O. Gravitt

Joyce Ozella Gravitt passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis A. Gravitt; her parents, George & Bonnie Johnson; and her brother, Ronald Johnson. She is survived by her children, Mitchell (Naomi) Gravitt of Ringgold, GA and Ginger (Steve) Richardson of Pike Road, AL; her grandchildren, Brandon (Brittany) Richardson, Ryan Richardson, Hunter Chambers, and Allen (Kelly Ann) Gravitt. Joyce attended Tennessee Tech University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and earned a bachelor’s degree in education. While attending college, she met her husband and was married in 1954. She will always be fondly remembered as a devoted wife and mother.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Alabama Heritage Cemetery, Montgomery, AL following the service.
