Samuel Hollon Mattison, 22, of Montgomery, AL, passed on Thursday, September 6, 2018. He was a 2014 graduate of Booker T. Washington Magnet School (Broadcast Media Department), and a senior at Troy University majoring in journalism and political science. He is survived by his parents, Emile and Lynn Mattison; his brother, Woody Mattison; grandparents, Phillip and Ruth Shelley, Gary and Penolia Mattison; uncles and aunt, Phil Shelley (Renee), Jacava Mattison (Lara), Ami Mattison; and a host of extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Booker T.
