Juanita Maude Matlock

She died Tuesday evening May 29th in Palestine, Texas.

Visitation will be at 10 am Saturday June 2nd with funeral service to follow at 11am, in the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel in Nacogdoches. Burial will be at Isabel Chapel (Sand Hill) Cemetery in Mount Enterprise, Texas. Her Grandson Bryan Perkins will officiate. Juanita met Buddy Matlock when she was 8 years old, and they married January 3, 1943 and were married 64 years. Juanita and Buddy lived in Cushing/Happy Valley for 43 years, where they raised their two daughters and two of Juanita’s brothers as one big family. Juanita was a strong, strict, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and her life was Buddy and her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Boening of Palestine, Vicki Baker and husband John of Lindale, two special brothers, Jake Clifton and wife Evelyn of Bristol, and Preston Clifton and wife Lea of Pensacola, FL.

9 Grandchildren, Christopher Boening of Dallas, Tracey and Scott Chancellor of Palestine, Trey and Kara Boening of Humble and Bryan and Larissa Perkins of Durant OK., Curt and Debbie Clifton of Pensacola, and a very special niece and nephew Belinda Richardson of Bristol and Rod Clifton of Minden.

9 Great Grandchildren, Brock, Antonia, Tristan, Nicholas, Callie, Anissa, Gavin, Mitchell, and Zach. And many, many nieces and nephews.

Juanita is proceeded in death by her husband Buddy, her son Darrell, her Grandson Bradley Perkins, her son-in-law Bob Boening, her brother Talmage Clifton and her sister Vera Sanders. Now together forever in the arms of Jesus!

Pallbearers will be Christopher Boening, Trey Boening, Scott Chancellor, Bryan Perkins, John Baker, and Brock Perkins.
