Fideles grew up in National City, CA. He graduated from Sweetwater High School and completed his AA at Southwestern College. He was an avid Sports Fisherman and was called by friends and family “Uncle Fish”.
Fideles was employed as an AT&T Service Representative and Union member for 32 years. He had served almost four years as Councilman for the City of National City. He also had served on many other National City Boards and Commissions. He was past president of the Filipino American Community of National City.
Fideles is survived by his loving wife Sally Serna Ungab and his children Ryan, Sarah, and MarIssah. Mother Lucia Daral Ungab of National City, CA; his brother GilAnthony Ungab M.D.; his sisters Stella Marie Ungab, Teresa Kelly, Anita Flynn, Julia Strausen, Carolyn Voss, and the late Florence Ungab; the rest of his very large extended family including many nephews and nieces; “adopted” bothers and sister; and numerous other relatives.
